Something New

This is why I've been completely absent in the blogging world! We've been using tons of spare time to get our house ready to be put on the market since we're expecting another Blackburniña this summer! 
We're hoping to have the house sold and a new one purchased, plus moved in and completely nested (fingers crossed) before July rolls around.....But, we have absolutely no idea if things will unfold this way! We've had so much support from our community, everything from painting walls, building shelves, sheet rocking to bringing us lunches!
For now, I have to go sand the walls in our front room....and drink a Dr. Pepper.

A First-Time Vendor

For the first time ever I got to experience what it feels like to be on the other side of the table at market! Although I made no sales, I did have a few interests and prospects, passed out a few cards, and got to sit in the November sunlight with some of my greatest friends and family.

All in all, I count it as a success...we didn't hit any major roadblocks, and I felt that as a first-timer, Garland & Pendant's booth looked pretty adorable!
I'm continuing on with this little hobby, still looking forward with hope to that first sale!

Our Halloween

Steven got home from work and we went to work getting Finn ready to go trick-or-treating! Finn loved wearing his costume, probably because it was so snuggly warm, and he even sat super still while I put paint on his face and worked meticulously to get mittens on his little hands.

This was the best house ever! With a fog machine, music, creepy graveyard, and even a homemade "electric chair" where kiddos were lined up to try!

It was a most perfect Halloween, and Finn walked right up to each door we passed like he knew exactly what he was doing! I know Finn won't remember it, but I will never forget how he walked up and down the neighborhood sidewalks with such prideful little bear steps!

Today, the skies are blue again and I am excited about the month ahead of us, with its warmth of thanks.
I'm looking forward to the weekend, where on Saturday, if everything goes as I hope, I will be setting up a table at the Johnson City Farmer's Market for its extended Winter/Spring season. Garland & pendant will be making its local debut!

A New Endeavor

Today's the day! I hit the "publish" button and began listing items for (hopefully) sale!

I hope you enjoy browsing through these creations as much as I enjoy sharing them with you! And there are definitely more where those came from...just currently in process. Seriously, it has taken over my house and most all of my free time! But I love it, and I love the chaos of paint cans, brushes, stencils and random pieces of wood that has ensued.
